Major Cash on Offer for Townsville Community Groups
Townsville community organisations can now apply for up to $15 million worth of funding for capital works projects.
Member for Herbert Phillip Thompson is calling for expressions of interest in the Growing Regions Program, for grant funding between $500,000 and $15 million.
Funding is available for up to 50% of the cost of eligible capital works projects, or 90% of the cost of eligible projects for First Nations Community Controlled Organisations.
“Townsville has a fantastic community and thousands of organisations which do an amazing job keeping us connected, active, engaged and helping one another out,” Mr Thompson said.
“The Growing Regions Program is a great opportunity for funding for not-for-profit organisations to get build that new clubhouse they haven’t been able to afford, or upgrade court surfaces that have seen better days.”
Mr Thompson is encouraging all interested parties to express their interest in the program through his website.
“I’m encouraging any organisations that have a project to put forward to fill out the form on my website so that I can support their application,” he said.
Organisations should visit www.philthompson.com.au/growingregions and complete the expression of interest form by the 21st of July.
