This Labor government has all the wrong priorities.
While people in Townsville are struggling to pay their power bills, their insurance, put food on the table and fill up their car, the last thing they should be asked to fund is more politicians in Canberra.
I will OPPOSE Labor’s plan for more politicians. Labor’s plan would cost over $600 million of taxpayer dollars and do nothing to help Australians.
I have said many times, no good ideas come from politicians in Canberra, we need to be listening to the people in our communities.
Right now, Australians want practical action that eases pressure on their household budgets, not a government focused on itself.
The priority should be living standards, not lining the halls of Parliament.
Now is the time for Labor to tighten its belt, not expand the political class.
