New Clinic Set To Put Back Pain Behind Us
Federal Member for Herbert Phillip Thompson has unveiled the opening ceremony plaque at the Townsville Spine and Sports Med clinic, marking the introduction of market-leading equipment in Australia.
Clinical Director Dr Jeremy Pont has brought non-surgical decompression equipment from South Korea to the Australian healthcare sector, which is already revolutionising the treatment of back and neck pain in Australia.
“We are seeing patients who have had back and neck pain for several months and we are offering them an option that they haven’t had before and are seeing positive results,” Dr Pont said.
Phillip Thompson is a big supporter of Dr Pont’s clinic for the benefits it brings to Townsville.
“This is a fantastic addition to Townsville that has expanded healthcare options for our community, giving people the option to have this state-of-the-art treatment in Australia,” Phillip Thompson said.
Phillip Thompson heard firsthand from one of Dr Pont’s patients about her experience with the new equipment.
“A patient had tears in her eyes when she told me that this equipment has allowed her to live her life, pain-free,” Phillip Thompson said.
“Having that testimony from patients shows that Dr Pont has not just done the right thing from a business perspective, but the right thing by the people.”
Dr Pont has his sights set on becoming a leading non-skeletal spine clinic.
“My real hope is that we can turn Townsville Spine and Sports Med into the non-surgical back pain capital of Queensland,”
“Back pain, neck pain, it’s not sexy but everyone’s got it,” Dr Pont said.
